Find a date that works for everyone: free, no sign-up

Free · No app · No sign-up

To find a date that works for everyone, ask the group once, in one place. Pick a few days below, share one link in the group chat, and everyone taps Yes, If needed or No. You see the best date as answers come in, pick it, and everyone sees “It’s on.” Free, with no app, no account and no email for anyone.

Time of day

Tap the days that could work. Add times if you want, or leave them open.

Free. No app, no sign-up, no email. Polls are deleted 90 days after their last day.

It’s a free Doodle poll for friends and family. Doodle now asks organizers to make an account before a poll goes out, and its free plan shows ads to you and your participants. People answering a Doodle poll give a name and email. This one asks for a first name, and only from the people answering.

How it works

  1. Pick the days. Name the plan, tap the days that could work, and add a time to any day if it matters. Days without a time are “any time,” or choose afternoon or evening for all of them.
  2. Share one link. Send it to Messages, WhatsApp or any group chat. People open it in the chat’s own browser, type a first name, and tap Yes, If needed or No for each day. They can change their answers later from the same phone.
  3. Pick the date. The poll counts every answer and marks the best date, counting “if needed” as half a yes. You pick the day, and everyone who opens the link sees “It’s on” with an Add to calendar button.

You can change the days after people have answered. Days you keep keep their answers.

Which one to use

For friends and family, use a poll that asks nothing of the people answering. That’s this one, or Rallly, whose free plan also needs no sign-up, shows no ads and offers “If need be.” Use When2meet or Crab Fit when you need hour-by-hour availability, like a study group’s weekly slot, since both are built around a grid of times you paint. Use Doodle if your workplace already pays for it.

A date poll asks about a few days you’ve already picked. A group availability calendar asks everyone to mark every hour they’re free. For a dinner, a birthday or a weekend away, picking three to six days first gets you an answer in one round.

Where Camp fits

Find a date is the free web version of the date poll inside Camp, an iPhone app that gives each of your groups a shared calendar, plans with RSVPs, lists, polls and a chat. When the date is set, “Make it a plan in Camp” carries the plan into the app. Camp is in testing now: join the waitlist to get it first.

If your group would rather not share calendars at all, read how to find a time without sharing your calendar.

FAQ

Is there a free Doodle poll? Yes, but Doodle’s free plan is limited: its pricing page lists one group poll, 10 time slots per poll, and ads for organizers and participants (checked October 2026), and making a poll now needs a free account. Camp’s Find a date is free with no account for anyone, no ads and no email, and Rallly is another free option that needs no sign-up.

How do I find a date that works for everyone? Pick three to six days that could work, send one poll link to the group chat, and ask everyone to answer Yes, If needed or No for each day. Go with the day that has the most yes answers, and use the if-needed answers to break ties.

Do people need an account or an app to answer? No. People open the link in any browser, including the ones inside Messages and WhatsApp, type a first name and tap their answers. Nobody gives an email address or a phone number.

What does “If needed” mean in a date poll? “If needed” means the day isn’t ideal but the person can make it work. Camp’s Find a date counts it as half a yes when it marks the best date, so a day where everyone can come beats one where a few people would have to move something.

Can I change my answer after I send it? Yes. Open the same link on the same phone and tap “Change my answers.” Your answers are tied to that browser, so nobody else can change them.

Can I add times, not just days? Yes. Give any day one or more times, like 7 PM, and each time becomes its own choice. Days without a time are “any time,” or you can make all of them afternoon or evening.

How long does a poll last? A poll is deleted 90 days after its last day. The organizer can also delete it at any time with the edit link, which stays in the browser that made the poll and can be emailed to you once.

What is a group availability calendar? A group availability calendar, like When2meet or Crab Fit, shows a grid of hours and asks everyone to mark when they’re free. It suits weekly slots. For one plan with friends or family, a date poll on a few chosen days is faster to answer.

Does it work in WhatsApp and iMessage? Yes. The share buttons send the link straight to Messages or WhatsApp, and the poll is built for the small in-app browser those apps open. It also works on a laptop.
